DOWN EAST FANTASY CON RULES
The following rules apply to all Vendors, Artists, and Exhibitors. The term “Exhibitor(s)” used in the following is to include any Vendor, Artist, or Exhibitor at the convention.
The sale of unlicensed materials is prohibited. Copyright and trademark laws are applicable. Anyone caught violating this rule will be reprimanded up to and including removal from Down East Fantasy Con without refund or re-entry.
All Vendors must comply with Maine State Sales Tax Laws. For more information please visit:
INSIDE THE VENUE
If you sell a product that you’re unsure is allowed in the venue please contact Down East Fantasy Con before bringing the item to the convention.
No entrances or exits may be blocked in the event of an emergency. Keep aisles clear of tripping hazards. All fire code regulations must be followed.
Smoking inside the Cross Insurance Center is prohibited. There are designated areas outside.
No defacing or vandalizing of any facilities within the Cross Insurance Center. This includes marking/or pinning things to walls, smoking inside, and leaving garbage lying around. Please be respectful.
The following items are prohibited from entering Cross Insurance Center:
-Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
- Glass bottles or aluminum cans
- Ice chests (coolers) or thermos containers
- Sticks or clubs
- Fireworks, firearms, or other weapons
- Bullhorns or noise makers
- Confetti or balloons
- Animals (except certified service pets)
- Beach balls and other inflatables
- Outside food or beverages
- Skateboards or rollerblades
- Water bottles or mugs
Guest passes may not be resold or traded to anyone who is not associated with the registered table purchaser.
There will be 2 passes per table bought.
Guest passes must be worn at all times or presented to staff/security upon request.
Additional tables are NOT ALLOWED to be brought in from outside the venue to sell from.
You are responsible for staffing your own tables.
Table placement is not guaranteed and will be at the discretion of Down East Fantasy Con. We will do our best to accommodate you. Table placement is subject to change at any time.
Spaces will include 1 eight foot table. The number of tables may vary due to the amount of spaces purchased. There will be 2 chairs per table purchased.
Set up must be completed by the time the doors open to the public.
Down East Fantasy Con is an ALL AGES convention. Do not display any adult/pornographic material or illegal material. Down East Fantasy Con reserves the right to decide what’s appropriate or inappropriate.
As an ALL AGES convention Down East Fantasy Con asks you remain friendly, polite, and kind to everyone. Down East Fantasy Con reserves the right to remove you without refund or re-entry if behavior becomes offensive, inappropriate, or disorderly.
Down East Fantasy Con believes in a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY against any forms of harassment. Our goal is to create a safe environment for everyone involved. The following types of harassment are not tolerated: verbal, sexual, photography, intimidation, heckling, unwelcomed physical contact, stalking, or any other behaviors that may be deemed as harassment.If you are involved or witness such an event please contact the Down East Fantasy Con staff or security member immediately.
Down East Fantasy Con and The Cross Insurance Center are not responsible for any Exhibitor lost, stolen, damaged property, or for any injuries sustained at the event whether inside the center or in the parking lot or on property grounds. No insurance is provided to exhibitors or their property.

We reserve the right to make any changes to policies at any time.
By attending Down East Fantasy Con you are allowing your consent to be appropriately photographed or recorded (visually and audibly) to be used in future event advertising, promotion or media.
In the event a refund is needed the Exhibitor has until June 1st, 2019 to request one. After this date no refunds are permitted.
In the event of Down East Fantasy Con being cancelled, all payments paid would be returned. After that there would be no further obligations or liabilities to the exhibitors.
